What If? Thursdays

2026
10 week workshop series
Watershed Apartments, Portland, Oregon

There's a kind of intelligence that gets ignored in most rooms. The person who thinks sideways. The story that doesn't fit the form. The weird idea that turns out to be the most alive thing in the space.

What If? Thursdays was built around that intelligence.

Every Thursday at 10am, we gathered in the common room of the Watershed, a supported housing community in Portland, with coffee, paper, and a single open question such as:

What if your weird idea was the best idea?
What if your story met other stories?
What if we built a world where things worked differently?

To put action to those questions we drew communally, invented stories, and big questions about home, body, and imagination. Not art therapy. Not programming. Something closer to a standing invitation: bring what you're already carrying and see what it becomes when other people are in the room with it.

The "what if" wasn't rhetorical. It was a method: a way of treating imagination as serious, collective, and worth showing up for every week.
